Nuffield Advanced Biology: Teachers’ Guide to the Study Guide

Published by the Nuffield Foundation, the investigations in the Study guide were constructed from a varied collection of biological data. Each was intended to guide students to an understanding of certain basic concepts through a series of questions and, at the same time, to lead them to further studies involving reading, discussion, and practical work. Together they provided a source of material which could be integrated with work derived from the laboratory guides and other sources in a variety of ways.

The Teachers’ Guide discussed the biological principles involved in each investigation and suggested teaching approaches. It also provided answers to the questions in the Study Guide.
