Nuffield Advanced Biology: Investigations Based on Secondary Sources

Published by the Nuffield Foundation, the Nuffield Advanced Biology Study Guide was complementary to the series of Laboratory Guides. This was also a book of investigations but it did not involve practical work and made use of various types of second-hand data instead. It served also as a further source of theoretical information and was integrated with the work in the laboratory guides.

The Topic Reviews for students were also an integral part of the Advanced Biological Science materials. They were designed to support the non-practical work which helped to make discussion, reading and written work an integral part of the investigations.
