National strategies: primary mathematics - video for book 4
This resource provides many short clips of the teaching of calculation strategies at primary level. Examples focus on the development of the understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using many of examples detailed in the National Numeracy Strategy Framework. The clips show teachers using manipulatives such as multilink cubes, arrow cards and number lines to support the learning of number across the primary phase. The video is divided into five sections:

*Mathematics in special schools
