Science for children: resources for teachers

This compendium has been produced under the joint sponsorship of the Smithsonian Institution and the National Academy of Sciences. The goal is to provide enhanced resources for elementary school teaching. The three main sections are devoted to curriculum materials in the major fields of science, supplementary resources, and other sources of information such as museums and professional associations. Descriptions of individual publications are detailed enough to be very helpful. This excellent book should provide a much-needed boost to elementary science education in the United States.
