Better science: for young people with special educational needs - curriculum guide 8

For Young People with Special Educational Needs was the eighth in a series of 12 booklets published by Heinemann and the Association for Science Education to explore the issues arising from moving towards a broad and balanced science education for all young people.

The main purpose of this booklet was to explore the implications of providing access to the curriculum by identifying and meeting individual special educational needs. This guide gave particular attention to students in mainstream schools with mild and moderate learning difficulties.
