Young scientist investigates sea and seashore

The Young Scientist Investigates topic book on Sea and Seashore was first published in 1981 and gives information, illustrated by full colour photographs and drawings, about the extent of the oceans, different types of seashore and the animals and plants to be found there. Tides are mentioned, but no explanation of them is attempted. The book is intended for children aged 8-11 to read and then to answer question and carry out investigations involving making observations and collections of sea shore plants, pebbles and shells.
