Young scientist investigates: the human body

The Young Scientist Investigates topic book on The Human Body was first published in 1985 and gives information, illustrated by full colour photographs and drawings, about the human body. It looks at the structure and function of body parts including bones, muscles, heart, lungs and eyes and describes how the body systems such as circulatory, nervous and respiratory systems work. It is intended for children aged 8-11 to read and then to answer questions, and carry out some activities including looking at cells, observing the effects of exercise on the body and making a model of an arm.
