A safety handbook for science teachers

A handbook giving detailed, practical advice on aspects of safety in school science teaching. The book reviews all areas of school science teaching from the point of view of safety.

It reflects the view that safety is a positive activity that forms an integral part of lesson planning and classroom, laboratory and departmental management.

The authors take into account the new COSHH regulations and offer official advice from the DES and SED. The overall aim of the book is to provide practical advice on how to plan for safety in school science teaching and how to deal with a range of accidents should they occur.
