Calculated to please: 3 - calculator activities for the national curriculum

The three books which make up this package each contain 40 activities to help pupils develop their calculator skills. These activities encourage arithmetical and mathematical thinking through positive calculator use.

Key features include a chart to record students' progress in knowledge, skills and attitudes, teacher's notes which suggest equipment needed, ideas for extension work, and provide answers to questions on student pages. The material is suitable for a wide ability range and can be used to complement any mathematics scheme.

This third book covers wider application of calculator skills as tools of investigation and problem-solving. There is particular emphasis on the use of the calculator in work on decimals and the associated concepts. Work on the calculator memory and some of the general functions of a calculator are also covered.
