Mathematics in Nursery Education

This text is designed to help early childhood practitioners consider the implications of the recently published nursery curriculum guidelines for mathematics, and how these can be implemented in provision for pre-fives.

The book considers the mathematical concepts, research findings and examples of good practice in order to help those working with young children plan for quality mathematical learning.

Consideration is also given to planning, assessing, recording and managing the part played by other adults, including assistants and partnership with parents.
