Scenarios in IT: pack one - modelling and control

This is the first pack of a series which provides an interactive, applications-based approach to information technology. The commercial, industrial and leisure scenarios are designed to help students to develop the necessary skills and confidence to use computer software to set up interesting and relevant systems.

All the scenarios are non-software-specific, and can thus be used with any spreadsheet, database, word-processing, graphics or desktop-publishing package. Teaching notes are included.;The scenarios are particularly applicable to secondary-school IT work at Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE courses, and are also suitable for a wide range of other courses, such as RSA CLAIT, in which IT skills are to be developed.
