Number and Algebra

Instant Maths Ideas are aimed at teachers of Key Stage Three but could also be appropriate for use with other age groups. The complete resource contains all 26 subject topics together with appropriate resource materials. Each topic has also been included as a separate resource for ease of use. Each topic contains a number of questions or activities designed as inspiration for starters, extension questions or probing questions, useful to supplement lesson plans. The ideas are accompanied by teachers' notes. Ideas for students to explore include the construction of magic squares using fractions, find ‘happy’ numbers and solve the puzzle of the Knights of the Round Table plus many more.
