This series of resources have been created to highlight to pupils the importance of water in society. The water cycle activity introduces pupils to the concept of the water cycle and the science involved, whilst 'How much water do we waste?' is an investigation where pupils measure the volume of water used when pupils brush their teeth using different methods. Both activities are supported by materials to create a working wall on the theme of 'water everywhere' which can be adapted and added to by the teacher and pupils.

The resources have been designed to be delivered by a teacher alone or with an Environment Agency STEM Ambassador, if one is available. If an Environment Agency STEM Ambassador is able to visit a school, separate guidance notes are provided to give them advice on how to run the activities and appropriate language to use. Also available in this series is the resource 'What's my job?', which helps Environment Agency STEM Ambassadors introduce their work to pupils and could be used in conjunction with these resources on water.
