ICT specialist
Kayleigh is an ICT specialist for RAF Whittering, she discusses her role in this video. As an ICT specialist she supports IT equipment at stations and on deployment, looks after networks, servers, hardware and software. It is an essential role, to ensure communication continues between UK and other overseas teams. Her father was in the armed forces, the lifestyle and community appealed to her. The RAF is her career, she wants to progress to corporal in the near future and aims to work towards a commission to Officer in the engineering corp.
This video can be a useful resource for teachers to help bring the career to life as part of a lesson. It can also be used by STEM Ambassadors running sessions in school and at STEM Clubs.
