Quizzes
Two ASE SYCD: Science Year Primary quizzes based on familiar formats.
Who wants to be a scientist? is based on a well-known quiz format. It is a PowerPoint presentation, using overheads. You may want to print these out in black and white.
Questions are based around the Physical Processes teaching programme. After you have saved the PowerPoint quiz to your computer you can customise the questions as you wish. Each team will need their three lifeline cards to use once in the game. The game runs for about 20-30 minutes with three teams. You do need the killer question at the end for tie-breaks
Sciencebusters is based on a familiar quiz format and covers many aspects of the science teaching programme for junior pupils. There are three playing grids that must be printed out in colour, and a number of questions for each letter on the grid. You can add more questions to suit the level of knowledge of your pupils. The game, for two teams, runs for about twenty minutes.
