Generic/Miscellaneous Risp Ideas
The first of two RISP activities, Venn Diagrams explores lines in co-odinate geometry and quadratic functions although the idea can be extended to cover other topics. Students are given a Venn diagram with the sets defined. Students are required to find pairs of lines which fit into each of the eight regions. The task is then repeated using quadratic functions.
Perimeter Ratio is an activity that explores co-ordinate geometry and curve-sketching. Students are presented with a diagram of two joined triangles and asked to describe the equation of the locus of a point given conditions about the perimeters of the triangles.
