Practice Book 5b
These materials, produced by the Centre for Innovation in Mathematics Teaching (CIMT) for the primary extension of the Mathematics Enhancement Programme, include the pages from Practice Book 5b with detailed lesson plans and all necessary resources to accompany them. It follows on from Practice Book 5a.
Within these resources students learn to measure and draw angles using a protractor, identify lines of symmetry and order of rotational symmetry, translate shapes, extend their knowledge of decimals and fractions, use experiments to understand relative frequency, encounter discrete and continuous data as well as performing statistical calculations.
There are daily lesson plans covering weeks 17 to 35 and each plan is complete with teacher and student activities, together with key questions and references to the pages in the practice book.
