GNVQ Science: Your Questions Answered

The Nuffield Science in Practice project worked with staff from many GNVQ centres in regional groups. The novelty of the new GNVQ Science qualifications meant that there was a demand for guidance. Most of the advice and information in this guide was based on what the project team learnt from the meetings with teachers.

The book included a series of case studies to give a feeling for what GNVQ Science was actually like. The case studies helped to show that the GNVQ specifications were flexible enough to allow great variety in vocational science programmes. All the case studies were written by lecturers and teachers in colleges and schools.

The first edition was published in 1994. A revised edition was produced in 1995 to take into account changes to the specifications for GNVQ Science that NCVQ made in the light of experience.
