'Brookside Brush-up' - Inspiring Learning Project

Produced by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), this case study looks at the theme of embedding functional skills. It describes how Strode College used active learning techniques to engage adults, who were working with children, to improve their maths skills. Through increased self-confidence and skill levels, the adults became advocates of life-long learning and developed a thirst for improving not only their own maths skills but those of the children they worked with.
