Choosing the Right A Levels
This short video, from the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), emphasises the importance of choosing the right A levels for a scientific career. Individual scientists explain how important their choice of A levels was for their careers, in terms of entering their careers and also in giving them the skills and knowledge to build upon. They particularly recommend mathematics and explain how they apply its principles to real-world problems.
'If you continue with maths and physics you'll never be short of a job, even if you don't end up in physics' (Vicki Smith, physicist).
'Studying science and maths can open up a world of careers to you'.
This video runs for 3 minutes and 47 seconds.
