Building Bridges: Towards Continuity and Progression
This IPSE publication from the Association for Science Education (ASE) describes attempts within the Education Support Grant (ESG) project to establish liaison between and within schools. Most attempts were concerned with the primary-secondary interface. In addition to commenting on these, this publication also reports developments at other stages, for example within a single primary school. The authors describe the evidence as being rather thin and patchy, indicating that liaison work did not occupy a high priority for most advisory teachers in the years 1985-8.
