Generating Electricity
Produced by The Centre for Industry Education Collaboration (CIEC), these resources help to put curriculum science in a real life context. The activities provide opportunities for children to extend their understanding of electricity by applying it to the concepts of electricity generation and its use in the electronics industry.
During the activities, children look at topics such as:
* electrical circuits
* electrical safety
* using a windmill to generate force and electricity
* switches and designing a circuit to switch on an alarm.
The activities are supported by extensive teacher guidance and children's activity sheets.
