Mathematical Experience
This book from the Schools Council discusses the aims of the Mathematics for the Majority project and includes contributions from teachers who were actively concerned with teaching mathematics at this standard. It is written in two parts:
Part 1 discusses the philosophy and approach relevant to the learning of mathematics by the student of average and below-average ability from an academic standpoint.
Part 2 is a collection of case histories which illustrate some of the facets of practice at the time.
