Lunch in the Library

In this Teachers TV programme from the series Chef Challenge, chef Michael Coaker works with a GCSE class at Knights Templar school, Hertfordshire as part of the Chefs Adopt a School project. He sets the class the challenge of cooking a three course lunch for the headteacher and governors, using fresh Mediterranean ingredients.

The meal is served in the library and is hailed as a great success. The governors and Michael reflect on the recognition that Food Technology receives as an important GCSE subject. After the meal, the students discuss the benefits of studying food technology and how they feel about having to drop the subject for A level.
