Secondary Maths Using ICT

This video resource, from the Teachers TV series Hard to Teach, features a group of mathematics teachers taking part in a project which looks at how ICT can help with hard-to-teach topics.

Dynamic geometry software is used for circle theorems, allowing Year Nine students in Wellingborough to make and manipulate their own geometric constructions, developing geometric reasoning and proof skills.

Three dimensional geometry software is used to help Year Nine students in London visualise and understand the properties of 3D shapes and the associated trigonometry.

In Walsall a Year Eight class investigate quadratic number sequences using hand-held computers which allow students to see the graph of a quadratic function instantly, enabling them to make the connections with number sequences.
