Demonstrating Dynamic Geometry

This video resource from Teachers TV features Carol Knights, Departmental Mathematics Specialist at Bay House School in Gosport, as she demonstrates how dynamic geometry software can transform the teaching of many mathematical concepts, engaging students through interactive demonstrations, constructions and explorations.

Carol shows a proof of the sum of the angles in a triangle, how an interactive number line can develop algebraic skills and how to use the software to explore transformations. She also shows how to perform some classic geometrical constructions, explore circle theorems and a visual illustration of Pythagoras' theorem.
