Fibonacci Numbers

This video resource from Teachers TV features mathematics teacher Asnat Doza as she delivers a lesson on the Fibonacci sequence to a Year Seven class at Comberton Village College. Students work in groups and are given a series of five challenges to solve, each of which is related to the Fibonacci numbers and include: completing a puzzle, golden rectangles, the Fibonacci spiral, the breeding pattern of rabbits and Pascal's triangle. The tasks promote mathematical discussion and students, who are encouraged to work at their own pace, are actively engaged in their solution.
