Lisa Essop

This video resource from Teachers TV features Lisa Essop, mathematics teacher at Valentines High School, as she is challenged to progress from being rated as a good teacher to outstanding.

Having observed a lesson on angles with a Year Seven class Clare Gillies, a very experienced school inspector, highlights the need to tackle differentiation and maintain the focus of the learning objectives. Lisa then receives advice from secondary mathematics expert John Wilkinson and Mo Shapiro, a presentation and communication coach. Over the next three weeks Lisa implements the advice she has been given before Clare returns to give her final assessment. This video is from the popular series From Good To Outstanding.
