Building Relationships Between Students and Staff

This video resource from Teachers TV features ideas, implemented at Greenshaw High School in Sutton, which have improved the GCSE mathematics results by 28% in four years.

Students' progress is tracked using a computerised data collection system and, for those on the C/D borderline, a key intervention scheme is used to reward improvements in students' efforts. Vouchers are given to students who either achieve or exceed their target grade and lunches to celebrate success are held, demonstrating how much the school values its students, as well as the good relationships that exist between students and staff.
