Skill 6.9 Organising a Scientific Conference
This activity, produced by Gatsby Science Enhancement Programme, has students looking at the organisation of a scientific conference. This helps to give an insight into conferences as an important communication channel between scientists. Components of a conference include presentations, discussions, workshops and poster sessions. By creating their own conference, students explore the topic that is the focus of the conference, and also learn about how scientists communicate with each other.
