Teamwork - Solving Problems and Improving Quality

The Science with Technology Teamwork unit, from the Association for Science Education and the Design and Technology Association, introduces students to skills to solve problems and improve quality. It was developed in collaboration with experts in the Rover Group. This unit was part of the Toolkit produced by the project.

In part 1 students form a team to tackle a problem. They are introduced to tools for effective teamwork. In part 2 students learn about a process for solving a problem or improving the quality of outcomes. A case study is provided to help the students understand and apply each stage of the process. Then part 3 provides more detail about the range of techniques used in parts 1 and 2.
