Preparing for Antarctica

This video from Teachers TV follows four British teachers as they prepare for their once-in-a-lifetime expedition to Antarctica to carry out a science project.

The teachers' preparation schedule includes training sessions on Europe's largest ice-cap in Norway and constant fundraising to earn the £10,000 they need to go. All this is undertaken whilst teaching full time.

Although the four teachers are excited about using the experience to inspire students back home, they begin to realise the toll that such an expedition will take on themselves and their families.
