Micro-organisms - Making Bread and Cheese

Produced by Teachers TV as part of their Lesson Starters series, this clip shows how micro-organisms are used in food production. A baker talks about how yeast is a living organism and about the conditions it needs to reproduce and how this is utilised in the making of bread. Then a cheesemaker shows how cheese is produced using a type of bacteria. The video ends with a question designed to start a primary classroom discussion on micro-organisms.
