Reception 1

This programme from Teachers TV follows teachers Johanna Moore and Kristabel Harwood from Berridge Infant School, a multicultural school in Nottingham. They each choose a target child to focus on over the day, Jade and Shoaib. Throughout the day they create a balance between teacher-led and child-initiated learning in their classes using indoor and outdoor learning spaces. Activities include: a shape hunt, handwriting, a free flow play session in a role-play area and a gardening activity. The teachers reflect on the learning of the two children and the importance of the balance between free-flow and adult led learning in reception.
