Learning Maths with Kyane

This programme from Teachers TV follows the progress of one Year Four child as he learns about 3D shapes. Kyane, a student at Erdington Hall Primary near Birmingham, is regularly absent from school due to asthma. He is often behind with school work and is not socially integrated in his class.

Harriet, his teacher, has written Kyane an individual education plan and an individual behaviour plan to help support his learning. Teaching assistant Julie is also there to support and encourage him. This programme shows the challenges Kyane is presented with within a specific mathematics lesson and how through careful planning and classroom support his teacher and teaching assistant help him overcome them.
