Looking for Ladybirds

In this activity, aimed at primary learners, children learn how to identify different species of ladybird whilst exploring the habitats where they can be found and finding out about their food chains. Working scientifically children observe and record similarities and differences between ladybird species then use these observations to make identification key. By carrying out a ladybird hunt annually and keeping their own records, children can investigate changes over time in their local area. The resource, provided by Primary Upd8 contains full teacher guidance on running the activities.
