Living things and their habitats: the art of living

This resource provides a selection of lesson plans, worksheets and teachers notes relating to Living Things and their Habitats at Year Five. They include activities in which children learn about the life cycles of flowering and non-flowering plants. They also look at the life-cycles of mammals, amphibians, insects and birds, including some unusual examples like egg-laying mammals and marsupials. They also compare complete and incomplete metamorphosis and find out about well-known naturalists and animal behaviourists. Provided by Hamilton Trust, these sessions have been written in line with the new national curriculum (published in 2013).

The Hamilton website also hosts a wealth of other free resources.
