Position and Direction

This resource contains a collection of interactive pictures designed to illustrate the position of an object in relation to other things. Objects are positioned at different places on a picture and the correct word is selected to describe where the object is in relation to a bridge.

In the next sheet an object can be placed anywhere on a picture to encourage the use of the correct positional vocabulary. Children choose a word to complete a sentence and make the sun smile.

In the final sheet children think about the relative position of an object in relation to one or more other objects.

This resource has been provided by the Virtual Textbook. It is part of the Geometry and Measure sub-collection, which contains many further curriculum linked interactive spreadsheets.
