Reflection and Translation
This resource contains an interactive spreadsheet which demonstrates and provides practice in reflection and translation at primary level.
Activities include: identifying lines of symmetry in 2D shapes, plotting reflection of shapes in horizontal, vertical and diagonal axes, creating kaleidoscope patterns and demonstrating translation and identifying translations in all four quadrants.
The notes for using each of the activities are provided on a separate tab within each spreadsheet.
This resource has been provided by the Virtual Textbook. It is part of the Geometry and Measure sub-collection, which contains many further curriculum linked interactive spreadsheets.
Note
This program was designed to be viewed on a screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768. Users may have to adjust the resolution of their screen for the pages to display as was originally intended. The program uses macros which need to be enabled on the users machine.
