One More, One Less: 0-10

This interactive excel sheet is aimed at Reception students and explores counting.

The first sheet generates a starting number for students to count on from. Add objects one at a time to those already in the box to work out how many items there are in total.

In the next sheet a number of items are displayed in the box. Students are asked to add objects to the box to make a target number of items.

The third sheet generates a starting number for students to take away from. Remove objects one at a time from those already in the box to work out how many items there are left.

In the fourth sheet a number of items are displayed, then some are taken away. Students have to state how many have been removed. Click on the items to reveal the numbers involved, click where the ‘hidden’ objects were to make them appear again.

In the final sheet objects are generated for students to share into two spaces. Click at the bottom of the screen to show the addition sum made by sharing.
