Water and sanitation videos

Practical Action helps local communities in the developing world gain access to services such as water and sanitation, vital for a decent quality of life. Some examples of how they go about doing this and the technologies involved are demonstrated in these videos:

  • Dying for a drink - solar powered water pump. Drinking dirty water is the only solution for some children in Kenya. Installing a solar powered water pump changes their lives.
  • Eco toilets in Peru - one woman describes how Practical Action helped her and her family make an eco-friendly toilet and the benefits they received from it.
  • Low cost sanitation in Zimbabwe - low cost solutions to sanitation in Zimbabwe are shown in detail
  • Pump it up! - The science behind how a water pump works and why it is important to the lives of people in Bangladesh is illustrated in this video.
