Fuel use through time

This resources suggests several activities and visits which enable students to find information about fuel use through time and about the consequences of the use of those fuels.

By visiting museums or exploring the local area around the school, learning outcomes could include:

  • evaluate the different technological innovations to produce a ranked list in terms of solutions for the future.
  • describe how engineers are involved in shaping the use of fuels for transport.
  • describe how different fuels are used to power different forms of transport and record details found, collecting images of vehicles mentioned or displayed at the chosen site.
