Areas of overlapping parts

This resource from IET Faraday, supported by MEI and Tomorrow's Engineers, provides students with the opportunity to explore the angle and size of the overlap when rectangles are placed over the top of each other.

The resources include a presentation that introduces the activity and a series of questions for students to explore. The teaching guide includes additional information and discussion points, extension activity suggestions, answers and details of the curriculum covered by the activity. It also suggests a GeoGebra file that can be used to support students.
