Penny circle

Act 1

A small circle is shown being filled with penny coins. The start of a bigger circle being filled is shown. How many pennies will the big circle hold?

Act 2

The diameter of the big circle is given. The dimensions for a penny are given, together with examples of how many will fit in various circles.

Act 3

A speeded up video reveals that 633 pennies fit in the circle.

Sequel

​By looking at different circles, a pattern is built up as to how many pennies there are on the circumference. The video accompanies act 3 where the answer is revealed.
