Act 1
A split screen video is shown. The video shows sheets of paper with the same dimensions being formed into cylinders. One piece of paper is joined along its shortest edge, the other along its longest edge. The resulting cylinders are then filled with popcorn. Which container held more popcorn?
Act 2
An image showing the dimensions for the paper is given.
Act 3
The answer is revealed by emptying out the popcorn onto the desk, showing that the cylinder formed from the paper joined along its shortest edge holds the greatest volume.
