Magnetic Fields
These diagnostic questions and response activities (contained in the zip file) support students in being able to:
- Identify magnetic materials that are attracted to both the north- and south-seeking-poles of a magnet.
- Describe the rules of attraction and repulsion between two magnets.
- Describe the properties of a magnetic field.
- Explain what magnetic field lines represent.
- Compare the magnetic fields of different magnets, in order to predict the properties of the magnets.
The resources include details of common misconceptions and a summary of the research upon which the resources are based.
