Year 3 - Stage 5

This resource provides a lesson plan and supporting resources that help Year 3 pupils to design and conduct a fair investigation and to explore the requirements of plants for life and growth. Through these resources, pupils will be supported to design and carry out their own fair tests which will help them to understand first-hand what is required for plants to grow. This session requires plants that were grown in session 1 of the project to be used, in order for children to investigate and observe what happens to a plant when one element is removed from its environment. This session is the fifth in a ten session STEM project provided by NFU Education.
