Year 5 - stage 2

This resource supports Year 5 pupils to understand how flowering plants reproduce. Pupils are given the opportunity to revise their Year 5 science learning with an active starter and then the PowerPoint presentation and supporting resources support pupils to build on this, helping them to understand the process involved in sexual reproduction in plants. Through this lesson the pupils dissect plants and closely examine their key parts, before writing a description of the process of pollination and fertilisation. This session is the second in a ten session long STEM project provided by NFU Education.
