Teaching science through stories

This resource contains two short stories aimed at introducing science ideas and vocabulary to young children. Written from the point of view of farmyard animals, they are designed to be read aloud in class and to promote discussion, before leading into science learning. Party Food introduces the ideas of carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and What group do I belong to? introduces classification of vertebrates.  They have been provided by Jolene Bristow.
