Farmer's footsteps

Pupils are introduced to six farmers who live and work in the mountainous regions of Western Nepal. Each of the farmers has a different story to tell, but they all have a lot in common, they share the struggle to produce enough food to feed their families and to sell at a market in a region affected by climate change.

Taking on the role of the farmers, the pupils play a board game where they make their way down the treacherous mountain path to market. But who knows what might happen on the way? However the dice rolls there’s a lot of steep learning along the path!

The game also helps pupils understand and engage with the Sustainable Development Goals.
